| Description: | This Sitting Group meets each Tuesday. There will be a 40-45 minutes of silent sitting meditation and 10-15 minutes of silent walking meditation followed by a brief Dharma talk and discussion. | |
| Location: | Loyola Marymount University -- Marymount Center for Prayer and Peace The center is located at the LMU Westchester campus on Lincoln Blvd in Marina Del Rey. Driving Directions From Lincoln Blvd. turn into LMU Drive. (As you enter, you'll see a fountain on your right) You'll see a building to your right (called University Hall) adjacent to the fountain. Enter the SECOND driveway on the right of that building into underground parking. The structure is labeled P1/Faculty & Staff - Given that we aren't students, we can park there. So, don't worry. Once in the structure turn left and park in 1B or in its vicinity. Take the elevators at P1 up to floor 3. When you get off at floor 3, take a left from the elevator through the glass doors that say Modern Languages, walk across their lounge, and turn right into the hall that goes straight into the Marymount Center for Prayer and Peace, where we meet. Finally, don't be dismayed by the marble and glass -- our space is very inviting. | |
