Teacher(s):	CONGRESSMAN TIM RYAN TEACHER BIO Congressman Tim Ryan Tim Ryan was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2002 and is currently serving in his fifth term representing Ohio’s 17th Congressional District. He maintains a strong commitment to the economic and social well-being of his constituents in northeast Ohio. He serves as a member of the House Armed Services Committee, as well as its subcommittees on Readiness and on Emerging Threats and Capabilities. He also serves as a member of the House Budget Committee and co-chairman of the Congressional Manufacturing Caucus. Congressman Ryan has a daily mindfulness meditation practice and has been an outspoken advocate for promoting mindfulness as an aid to dealing with the variety of complex problems facing the nation.

In March, 2012, Hay House published Congressman Ryan's book about the practice of mindfulness in both private and public life. He writes in his introduction: If more citizens can reduce stress and increase performance - even if only by a little - they will be healthier and more resilient. Location:	The Broad Stage The Santa Monica College Performing Arts Center Eli and Edythe Broad Stage is located at the Santa Monica College Performing Arts Center, on Santa Monica Blvd, between 10th and 11th Streets. The physical address is: 1310 11th Street, Santa Monica, CA 90401. Entrance to the parking lot is from the North side of Santa Monica Blvd. ADA seating is available, please contact the InsightLA office to make arrangements.
