| Description: | WEEKEND WORKSHOP SCHEDULE: Friday 7:30-9:00pm - $25 registration fee Sat 9am-3:30pm - $100 registration fee ++ UPDATE: PLEASE NOTE: Attendees are welcome to attend each "session," Friday night or Saturday during the day, as separate events or both together. Please feel free to register and mark your method of payment as "paying by check," and then pay at the door for the part of the Weekend Workshop you can attend. We have removed the Sunday "session" that was previously scheduled. Thank You! ABOUT THE WORKSHOP: This workshop provides intensive teaching, individual attention and small group work on the whole practical use of the I Ching. We explore techniques for posing questions, interpreting and applying answers and the ways we can empower the healing and transformative energies of the symbols of Change through active imagery, embodiment and simple ritual work. It provides teaching, direct experience, ritual work, new translations and an online library and consultation service you can use to continue your learning process. The goal is for participants to emerge with a basic grasp of how to use Change and apply its responses to their lives. ABOUT THE I CHING: I Ching/Yijing or the Classic of Change is the oldest and most respected divinatory system in the world. It is both a repository of ancient wisdom and a technique to relate it directly to our individual lives. This practice of Change is a sort of yoga of the subtle body. It transforms what the old Chinese sages called the heart-mind, dissolving fixed patterns of thought and inspiring imaginative mobility. This practice acts as a guide to both personal and cultural transformation. It helps us create effective strategies to deal with the problems we face. According to the ancient sages, this individual change of heart can synchronistically help to renew the world and the culture we live in. | |
