Time:
3:00pm - 6:00pm
Location:
Santa Monica
Description:
Like many mindfulness practices, being accountable and communicating effectively are not innate skills. It takes understanding and practice to be accountable before you need to be. Often we fall into the victim loop or without intending or being aware of we pull others into the victim loop creating a vicious cycle of blaming, denying, rationalizing, resisting or hiding. We get caught up in the emotions and or the stories attached and become stuck - make situations worse, create problems that don't exist, become confused and not know how to resolve them.

This workshop will demonstrate key mental obstacles in the way of being attentive, explain how one falls into the victim loop and how to move into the accountability loop. We will explore what mindfulness and compassion look like during communication and provide valuable take away tools to apply on a day to day basis.

This is a relationship building experience.

Who should attend? This workshop is great for managers, couples, parents and anyone who seeks to cultivate more functional, effective and harmonious communication skills.

Manijeh has a Doctorate of Psychology in Organization Management Consulting. She has designed numerous training manuals and continues to train employees at major organizations such as Health Net of California.
