Time:
7:15pm - 9pm (8 weeks)
Location:

Description:
This class is appropriate for those who have previously taken the awakened heart class or explored the teachings of Metta, and would like to deepen their practice and learn new approaches to cultivating the heart, as well as those newer to the Buddha's teachings.

In this class series we will deepen our exploration of the Buddha's teachings on the four qualities of the awakened heart: Metta/Lovingkindess, Karuna/compassion, Mudita/sympathetic joy, and Upekkha/equanimity.

As the mind is liberated through our meditation practice, so too the heart is freed and can dwell in more peaceful "abodes" known as the "Brahma Viharas" or "Divine Abodes". We will explore daily life exercises for developing this radiant heart as well as traditional and modern meditations to cultivate the Brahma Viharas for greater balance, joy and ease in our meditation practice as well as in daily life.

Classes will include time for meditation, meditation instruction, teachings and group discussion, and is designed to deepen your practice.
