Date(s):

Time:

Location:
Santa Monica
Description:
"My respected teacher and dear friend, Dr Nida Chenagtsang, is a force of nature - of the nature of the kindness and goodness that is the inclination of human beings. I will cherish this work and read it again and again, and hopefully some day, some future life perhaps, will actually realize its deep and astonishingly exquisite meaning."
- From foreword by Professor Robert Thurman

The Yuthok Nyingthig, the 'Heart Essence of Yuthok' composed by Yuthok the Younger, the great 12th Century Tibetan physician and meditation adept, is a complete cycle of Vajrayana Buddhist practice beginning with the preliminary practices ("ngöndro") and progressing through the development and completion stage practices to the highest practices of Mahamudra and Dzogchen. It is characterized by its concise and simple methods which bring about both worldly benefits, including improved health and longevity, as well as the ultimate benefit of complete spiritual liberation. The Yuthok Nyingthig is the main spiritual practice of Tibetan physicians, and it contains many unique techniques to heighten the intuition and healing capacities of the doctor.

In this public talk, Dr Nida Chenagtsang, Traditional Tibetan doctor and meditation master will introduce this very unique spiritual tradition and give practical meditation instruction.

This teaching is part of Dr Nida's 'Mirror of Light' book tour.
