Mindfulness for Beginners

Mindful Eating, Mindful Living

Jan 20 (Sat) - Mar 10 (Sat)
10:00am - 12:30pm (8 weeks)
Santa Monica
"When practiced to its fullest, mindful eating turns a simple meal into a spiritual experience, giving us a deep appreciation of all that went into the meal's creation as well a deep understanding of the relationship between the food on our table, our own health, and our planet's health." Thich Nhat Hanh

In this class, mindfulness teacher and registered dietitian, Karen David, will help students consciously explore their relationship with food. Over this 8 week class, students will increase awareness around food choices, the whens, whys and whats of why we choose to relate to food in the way we do.

Benefits of mindful eating include a calmer, more conscious relationship with food, eating and ultimately ourselves.

There will be Home Practice that will take from 20 to 40 minutes daily and will include mindful eating skills and daily mindfulness practice. Please note This class includes one half of practice as well.
